From Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris
Tax Day This Year Is: May 17th

__SALUTATION__

A year into the pandemic, filing taxes may be the last thing on your mind. Fortunately, Tax Day this year has been moved to May 17th. That's 32 extra days to file or pay income tax for the 2020 tax year with no penalties or interest!

This extension will provide taxpayers with additional time to prepare and file state and federal tax returns during the pandemic. Filing your taxes electronically with direct deposit is the quickest way to receive your refund.

REMEMBER: the sooner you file, the faster you can get your refund and stimulus payments.
