Gabby Giffords Won't Back Down Movie Screening
More pre-school aged children are shot dead in America each year than police officers. This is a uniquely American horror, a uniquely American tragedy. We owe these kids more than a moment of silence, more than thoughts and prayers. We owe them action.
Please join me, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley, Giffords, Moms Demand Action and others for a screening of "Gabby Giffords Won't Back Down," a 2022 documentary film that follows gun violence prevention hero and advocate Gabrielle Giffords as she recovers from the 2011 shooting.
The event will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at 6:00 pm at Regal Edwards Metro Pointe in Costa Mesa. The screening will commence at 6:30 pm, followed by a conversation on gun violence prevention.

As a member of the Legislative Gun Violence Prevention Working Group, I can affirmatively say that California will continue to lead on common-sense gun reforms. We need comprehensive action at the Federal level. Join me for this film screening so together we can be inspired and informed.
