California lawmakers have sent a bill to Gov. Gavin Newsom that “clarifies vague telehealth law related to safely prescribing prescriptions,” according to the office of bill sponsor Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris, D-Laguna Beach.

As the state-owned Fairview Developmental Center prepares to close in coming months, Costa Mesa officials are taking steps to ensure they’re involved in decisions on reuse of the center’s spacious campus in the heart of the city.
SACRAMENTO – In an effort to ensure local input is considered regarding the future use of Fairview Developmental Center in Costa Mesa, California, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris authored Assembly Bill 1199, which would require the Department of General Services (DGS) to hold a public hearing.
SACRAMENTO—In an effort to incentivize nonprofits to undertake projects that provide habitat restoration and improved public access to coastal resources, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris has worked with the Coastal Commission to pass Assembly Bill 1011 to provide fee-waivers to 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
